WeFunder is a crowdfunding service that connects startups with investors online. Wefunder uses a provision in the 2012 JOBS Act, which allows non-accredited investors to purchase equity in early-stage private companies.

With the help from Causa Local and WeFunder, Ron Artesano raised $215,815, which allowed them to have their own distillery. The fund also helped purchasing raw materials, packaging materials and to establish sales and marketing efforts to make Ron Arestano an international brand.
With Puerto Rico's "Rum Cover Over", a law that gives back a percentage of the tax to rum producers, and the fund, Ron Arestano is on track to international distribution to Caribbean, Europe and USA by Q4 2021 and to become profitable from year one.
